The Henry Moore Foundation protects and promotes the artistic legacy of Henry Moore, one of the most prolific and renowned artists of the 20th century.
Spectrum were appointed by main contractor R G Carter to deliver the roof and wall cladding for the new archive building which houses the most extensive collection of material relating to Henry Moore. The archive contains over three-quarters of a million items which illuminate his life works and practice.
It is one of the most comprehensive collections of publications, images, correspondence and artefacts related to a single artist in the world.
The work carried out by Spectrum includes the design and installation of a hook-on weathered steel/corten rainscreen to the roof and walls and a bespoke corten louvre screen.
The result is a striking building clad in oxidized Corten steel panels offering a timeless visual elegance.
