Sainsbury’s Sutton

As part of the regeneration of a six acre former gas works site on Sutton High Street in Greater London, LXB Properties announced a £50 million mixed-use site. The scheme includes a two-storey stilted Sainsbury’s foodstore of 115,000 sq ft.

Appointed by lead contractor Galliford Try, Spectrum successfully delivered the roof and wall cladding package to the foodstore which included 8000 sqm of Topdek roof panels accommodating 95 Lledo Sunoptics rooflights, 700 sqm of Trocal built up single ply roofing on tapered insulation and 4700 sqm of composite facade complete with recessed fixed aluminum rainscreen cladding.

Spectrum’s extensive experience of managing retail projects enabled the project to maintain a difficult build schedule and the works on this £1.8 million sub-contract to be completed on time.
