Newark Sports and Fitness Centre
Spectrum was appointed by main contractor R G Carter to deliver an extensive scope of work on an £11 million state-of-the-art leisure centre for Newark & Sherwood District Council.
The new leisure centre provides fitness suite facilities, including two swimming pools, a four-court multi-activity sports hall, two squash courts and an exercise studio.
The works carried out by Spectrum include Topdek roof panels, built up standing seam roof coverings, built up single ply roof coverings and a composite facade clad with aluminium interlocking planks and shingles.
Our design team worked closely with the project team and suppliers to develop the standing seam and single ply roof specifications in order to meet the acoustic and thermal requirements of the centre.
This modern structure establishes a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment aimed at increasing participation in a wide variety of indoor sport and leisure activities.
